On 19 March, the ICCC celebrated International Women’s Day. The event was a remarkable evening, bringing together women from diverse industries to share their inspiring stories of overcoming adversity with courage and resilience. In addition to the panelists, special guest Vice-Consul Parveen Juneja from the Consulate-General of India in Toronto presented remarks from the Government of India. Special guest Ontario Minister for Small Business Nina Tangri also graced the occasion, offering her steadfast support for women in business.
The event featured an esteemed panel composed of:
1) Aliza Lahkani – Dean, Northeastern University-Toronto Campus
2) Sanyam Sethi – Vice President, Public Affairs, Ipsos Canada
3) Susana Vaz – Senior Manager, City of Toronto
4) Priya Patil – board member of public mining companies
The ICCC’s Director-Women Entrepreneurs and Professionals Dr. Indira Khurana moderated the profound discussion. The presence of women of colour in leadership roles highlighted the importance of breaking barriers and forging new paths.
